Sadly, he is going north, and we go south.
On the road, we were back into the land of Lupine.
Really, the photos just don’t do it justice.
Today we departed from Ruta 7 onto X-50. Ruta 7 is gravel, but X-50 is paved. X-50 is a little longer, but prettier and has more services.
Either way gets you to Coyhaique.
Clearly, bikes go this way (although Thomas did the gravel on Ruta 7).
We crossed a bridge. As I looked down, I could see it was a deep gorge. I pulled off after the bridge to take a photo.
It flows into the Rio Mañihuales.
A few kilometers later, we crossed the Mañihuales. Markus said there was a campsite down by the river. We decided to go down for a break…then we decided we would just stay for lunch.
I went back to Billy and pulled out my yoga mat. It’s so nice here!
Chillaxin on the beach.
Markus doing some carving.
Alex sketching.
Buffs as culottes!
We don’t have much further to go today, so why not spend some time on a beach!
